In less than a wink of an eye another hound sired by Field Champion Sunshine Ronnie sweep Red Ceder today when Tilleys Wink won the 15 inch male class during the second day of the annual Red Ceder licensed trial. Yesterday it was Close Call Coy. Today it was his brother Tilleys Wink who won the trial. Wink is owned by Russ Arend and Bob Idalski. Idalski is a member of Red Ceder.
Wink came back in the fourth slot in second series behind another male owned by Arend called Close Call Colt 45. Arend switched the hounds for second series. The top brace had lost their rabbit and so the second brace was moved directly to the top on the strength of a fine run down the center of a path. The win was the second for Tilleys Wink.
There were twenty hounds entered in the competition today. The weather was beautiful with the top temperature hitting 75 degrees this afternoon. There were rabbit everywhere as indicated by the fact that the ten braces in first series were completed by ten thirty this morning. Second series was called and the entire trial was history by tweleve thirty this afternoon.
Gene Chapman and John Sharpe from North Carolina were the judges. The Red Ceder trial continues tomorrow when the fifteen inch bitches run.
