After being away from the sport of brace beagling since the 70s, Gary Fields and his lovely wife, Wilma, rejoin the Lorain County Beagle Club.
Gary says that he really missed running dogs and hanging out with his beagle buddies, namely U.S. Stone and Jim Sigler. Since last Fall the three have had a lot of conversations about dogs and different field trials over the past 35 years. One of the conversations that I overheard was Gary explaining to Jim that he thought his derby, Blades Trump, is a much better dog than Pik-Away Boomer was. Wow, that really jolted Jims pride! I wonder who instigated that statement?
Anyway, we are very pleased to have Gary and Wilma rejoin the club as they have been a real asset both in the kitchen and in the field.
