Received the following report from Mike Welch on the Derby Classic at Maryland Beagle club.

The 2010 MARYLAND DERBY CLASSIC was held Saturday, December 18th. There were 19 beaglers in attendance. We had 28 total entries! 24 Females and 4 males! We ran brace and solo and then some re-braces for fun! George Woods and crew (Paul Davis, Chris Lehneis, Jerre Houck and Willard Jeffcoat) had the grounds in great shape! Maryland looks to have the fattest rabbits on the east coast thanks to rabbit feeder, Jerre Houck. There were eleven different stud dogs represented Salt Springs Bronson (7); Top Spot Tory (6); Myers Creeper (4); Awesome Run Acura (3); Fumas Frankie (1); Indian Trail Cave Dweller (1); Tri Hills Tyrone (1); Dan Arts Mr. James (2); Tilleys Double Diamond (1); Potomac Chapel Jessie (1); and Salt Springs Skillet (l). Speaking of skillet, a special thanks to Sue Baumgardner for her hospitality and delicious meals! Thanks to Doug Lesight for keeping time, moving the braces and keeping the rabbits jumping! Thanks to all who attended! Please join us next year for the Maryland Derby Classic!
