Maryland Beagle Club hosted one of ABBA's Derby Classics under ideal weather conditions. Temperatures were in the low 30's early with a frost on the ground and warmed up nicely to the upper 40's when we ran. We decided to wait until 9:00am to start to give the frost a chance to burn off and give the puppies a chance. We had 14 derbies to check out. 12 ran in brace and 2 elected to run solo. Everybody saw some fine derbies run this morning that could be good contenders this spring. The breakdown of sires were as follows: Timber Grove Diesel-5, Surefoot Little James-4, Dan Art's Mr James-2, Night Stalk Dealus-1, Tag-A-Long Buster Brown-1, and Close Call Coy-1. Everybody had a good time watching our future hounds run. Thanks to ABBA and the Maryland Beagle Club for hosting the Classic. The Maryland grounds were in great shape, rabbits were plentiful and Sue provided us with her usual good meals.
