With five federations completed it is time to review the standings for the various Purina Awards. There is one award for field champions. The current leader is Sunshine Cassidy with 2-1st's and 1-4th. Cassidy is closely followed by Tilly's Eli with 1-1st, 1-2nd and 1-3rd and Scranton's Toby with 1-1st, 1-2nd and 1-4th.
The derbies also have one winner. The current leader is Chandler Hill Angelo with 2-1st's, 2-2nd's and 1-3rd. Ocean State Driftwood is in second place with 1-1st, and 2-2nd's.
There are four futurity awards....one for each class. The futurity with the best record, however, will receive the overall award. Currently, Cisco's Rusty Skyhook with 2-1st's and 2-2n's is leading for the overall award. He is followed by Beelick Lauren with 2-1st's and 1-2nd, Boulder Oaks Surefoot and Up the Creek Shucks are in third with 2-1st's and 1 4th each.
The 13" futurity female award is lead by Beelick Lauren with 2-1s's and 1-2nd. No other 13" female has more than one 1st.
The 13" futurity males have a tie for first with Boulder Oaks Surefoot and Up the Creek Shucks with 2-1st's and 1-4th.
The 15" futurity males are lead by Cisco's Rusty Skyhook with 2-1st's and 2-2nds. Char-Line Madd Max is in second place with 2-1st's.
The 15" futurity females are headed by Playgirl Jessie with 1-1st and 1-3rd. In second place is Sunshine Chantilly 1-1st and 1-4th.
There are two federations to go and none of the awards are currently decided. The official award winners will be tabulated by Purina and published in Hounds and Hunting.
