Max Steffen won both female classes yesterday on the third day of the Holland/Port City double-header trial being held at the Port City Beagle Club near Muskegon, Michigan. M-Rs Miss Dottie was back high and won the thirteen inch female class while M-Rs Miss Olive came from the third spot in second series to win the fifteen inch female class. It was the fourth win for Miss Dottie. She now has 99 points. Miss Olives win was number two for her.
There were thirteen entries in the little bitch class and ten hounds entered in the fifteen inch class. Six hounds were brought back in each class for second series. Dennis Haute and Ray Lubinski handled the judging.
The weather was a little on the warm side with the sun shinning brightly. All and all it was a fine day for beagling. Great meals were served by the kitchen crew at Port City.
