Dear friends in the Beagling community,
I received a call this morning from Aggie Popernack letting me know that her husband John had passed away this morning. Both John and Aggie were lifetime members of the Salem Beagle Club in Derry, PA. John was President of the club for a long time and Aggie served as Vice President for the past year.
John finished over 20 field champions. His last Field Champion was Aggies Beth which also was a National Brace Champion. She was a pleasure to handle and could track a rabbit all day long.
Our club licensed trial begins tomorrow. I dont know if the funeral will be postponed until Monday so that members can attend. As soon as I hear that arrangements have been made I will send an update to you.
