Port City opened with 15 15 Males and 13 13 Males. Holland ran their trial the next day. The 13 Male class ran to completion and after lunch the 15 Males were run to completion. Judges Dennis Haut and Mike Heminger called back 6 males for 2nd Series as follows:
1st Brace-Woodlake Rocky and Oak Openings Scout
2nd Brace-Close Call Django(D-1) and Wolf Pit Spike Hunter
3rd Brace-Duncan Creek Andy and Bay Line Jason
The high brace was dropped and 3rd Series was Wolf Pit Spike Hunter and Duncan Creek Andy and that was field trial!
Close Call Django had 8 Wins and needed less than a point for his Field Champion Title. Owner and Handler John Johnson was all smiles and had a lot of fun campaigning this male and in a way, sorry he cant run him anymore since he finished with 9 Wins. He was a good consistent male and a pleasure to run and handle. John has really enjoyed owning this fine male. Close Call Django is sired by Tag-A-Long Buster Brown and his dam is Triple R Carrie.
