Congratulations Owner and Breeder, Wallace Berkebile and Handlers, Lynette and Bob Coil on new Field Champion North Star John Henry!
West Michigan opened their double header at Red Cedar with 16 13” Males, judged by John Pennington and Tom Rombold and 16 15” Males, judged by Richard Baumann and Morris Simpson. We ran one class at a time and the 13” Males were run to completion first and then the 15” Males.Judges Richard Baumann and Morris Simpson called back 6 males for 2nd Series as follows:
1st Brace-Childers Texas Fireman and Triple R Arlo K
2nd Brace-Trout Valley Buster and Big Bark Bill Bailey
3rd Brace-North Star John Henry and Bub’s A&P Bo James(D-3)
The high brace had a tough rabbit and came to a loss. The 2nd Brace had a rabbit down a path and were picked up running and the 3rd Brace got a rabbit in the cover and John Henry did not miss a lick and came out on the path and turned it left.He tracked the rabbit like he was painted to it and the Judges moved him to the top.3rd Series was North Star John Henry and Trout Valley Buster and the 2nd Brace was Big Bark Bill Bailey and Bub’s A&P Bo James.John Henry defended the top position again and that was field trial!
North Star John Henry was looking for around 8 points, as he had 6 Wins.He showed everyone what he was made of and went out for his championship with 7 Wins.It wasn’t very often John Henry missed 2nd Series. He was a very consistent hound and he made his owner and handlers very proud through his career. He has made a lot of friends on the circuit.John Henry is sired by Saltsprings Bronson and his dam is Platt Form Miley.
Congratulations one and all and may you have future success and good health!
