Cecil Brown--10/23/27--4/2/2017

We received the news from Betty Harrison and Mickey Johnson that long time beagler and past Judge, Cecil Brown passed away at the age of 89. Cecil had been a member of Moorehouse Beagle Club. Cecil and Raymond Harper had been long time friends and still talked to each other. Cecil supported and judged all our federations and judged many license trials in his younger day. Cecil and Margie Brown had moved to a Nursing Home last year and had been married for 63 years. We have many cherished memories and good times through the years. He will forever be in our hearts and he joins that big meeting in the sky of all our past and cherished members of brace beagling. They can run their hounds to their hearts content. Thanks for all you have given us and Rest In Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with Margie, their children, grandchildren and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Brown, 89, of Farmerville, LA., will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Antioch Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Paul Carter with Rev. Rubin Weaver Assisting. Interment will follow in Liberty Taylor Cemetery in Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

He was born on October 23, 1927 in Hamburg, AR. and passed away on April 2, 2017 in Monroe, LA. Mr. Brown was a retired boiler room Supervisor for the International Paper Company and a veteran of the U.SArmy. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a Judge for the American Kennel Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Ray Brown, and Edith Brown, brother, Charles William Brown, and sister, Betty Hobbs.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Margie Albritton Brown of Farmerville, LA; daughter, Vickie Parks of Lewisville, TX; two grandchildren, Keith Parks and Kellie Parks; two great-granddaughters; three brothers, Bobby Brown, James Brown, and John Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the church.
