AKC Registration Update

It has come to my attention that AKC has added a $4.99 individual registration late fee after 6 months from the litter registration date.  According to Jessica Harris, in the AKC Registration Department, this fee just went into effect on July 14, 2017. The late fee after 1 year from the litter registration date is still $35.00.  The $4.99 will not be added to the $35.

All new litter registration papers will have a printed notice regarding the $4.99 late fee after 6 months.  According to Kathy in the AKC Customer Service Department, all older individual registration forms without the $4.99 late notice, that are mailed in after the 6 months time period will not be charged an additional $4.99.   However, all on-line registrations that are past the 6 month time frame will be charged an additional $4.99.
