Congratulations Owners, Joel Davis and Bryan Frye and Handlers, Bob and Lynette Coil on New Field Champion Nottingham Mel!

The AKC National Brace Championship held at Coraopolis had another successful trial.  They had 42 15" Females, 70 13" Females, 25 15" Males and 33 13" Males.  The 13" Males ran after the completion of the 13" Females on Sunday morning.  Jerry Nessinger and Kim Schrotenboer called back 8 15" Males for 2nd Series as follows:

1st Brace-Tim Tam Tony and Bun-E-Patch Little One

2nd Brace-Coyote Run Cozy Joe and Old Friends Dunk

3rd Brace-Big Warrior Batt and Bud's Speckle Hawk(D-3)

4th Brace-Bee Lick Braveheart(D-4) and Amity Hill Lawmaker.

Old Friends Dunk won the 15" Males, Owners, Joe Arditi and Robert Hinkle

Jennings Ford and Tim Beck called back 8 13" Males for 2nd Series Sunday afternoon as follows:

1st Brace-Brushwood Drummer and Nottingham Mel

2nd Brace-Creeping Trail Buddy and Country Chrome

3rd Brace-Twin Eagle Mudslinger and Twin Eagle Astroid

4th Brace-Ocean State Hi Tide and Little Ease Crawler

The high brace stayed the same and both dogs finished.  Brushwood Drummer became a New Field Champion and AKC National Brace Champion.  Nottingham Mel had 7 Wins going into the AKC National Brace Championship and needed less than 4 points to become a Field Champion.  Mel did not miss Second Series very often.  He can run the front or back and decided to finish the job when he came home to Pennsylvania.  We got Mel in August and he finished in October.  How many males finish in 3 months?  Mel has been a great asset to the team and we enjoyed every moment.  We thank Joel and Bryan for letting us handle Mel to his championship and he made #12 for the Coils this year.

Nottingham Mel is sired by Tilley's Little Timmy and his dam is R and R Moxie.  The Breeder is Steve and Shawn Redmon&Bob Kimber.

Nottingham Mel will reside in West Virginia with Gary Trout.
