We thank Charles Allen for notifying us that Clyde Waits from Middle Tennessee Beagle Club and home of Cherry Valley Beagles passed away yesterday on Father's Day at Tennova Healthcare. Clyde had previously beagled in MO and thought a lot of Ron Roth and then relocated to the Lebanon, Tennessee area a few years ago. He continued to go to trials in MO, IN, KY, GA, WV, TN, AL, etc. Once you met Clyde, you didn't forget him. Clyde started having health and heart problems a couple of years ago. His partner Lonnie Higdon took him to trials when Clyde was able and has continued to run their dogs. Clyde was a past member of ABBA and Middle Tennessee has experienced another loss, as beagling has. The picture above was when Clyde finished Primrose Levi at the Dixieland/Natchez Trace Double Header in 2016 for Charles Welch. He bred Cisco's Red Gold to him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Clyde's family and friends.
The following is his obituary and Hunter Funeral Home is conducting the service.
