Penn-Mar Beagle Club has had a very good trial with 88 entries so far and the 13" bitches have yet to be run. They will be run tomorrow. Maryland has had a bumper crop of rabbits this spring. Many rabbits were turned down because they were too small. By the different sizes of the rabbits that were observed, several litters have been born this spring. The grounds were in great shape. The meals have been great due to the kitchen staff headed by Sue Baumgardner. The weather has been ideal. Judges for the 15" classes were Jerry Houck and Paul Krepicz and judges for the 13" classes were Jim Haines and Dale Pliscott. Penn-Mar finished with a total of 130 hounds which today is a great trial. Also running this weekend were two other trials and according to this web site Tri-County was having a great trial and will finish with around the same number as Penn-Mar. A great weekend for Brace Beagling.
