Pensacola Beagle Club held a "Double Header" in conjunction with Seven Hills Beagle Club hosted by the Flint River Beagle Club on December 5th thru 8th. We ran a Total of 83 hounds. Thanks to everyone who came and made these trials a great success. Our judges were Richard Sproul, Buddy Clark and Jimmy Ponder. Thanks for a good job of selecting our winners each day. As always excellent meals were prepared 3 times each day by Melainie Floyd, Don Fortune and Gene Conkle. A very "SPECIAL THANK YOU" to our good friend and long time beagler, BUZZY MORGAN. On Thursday evening just as Melainie and Don were fixing the evening meal we gave out of water. Mike called Buzzy who owns a well drilling company. He came and brought his grandson and granddaughter and found that the water table had dropped due to the drought. They added about 3 feet to the pipe and lowered the pump. Buzzy also the next morning brought in a large "tanker" truck with 5,000 gallons of water and left it the rest of the trial. Buzzy also spent the last two days of the trial with us. It was very good to see him again.
